Beas Bridge blockade lifted by Sikh organisations

Kunwar Vijay Pratap is a live example of leading from the front. He never tries to evade a problem but to confront it from right angle. The way he tackled the sacrilege issues which one time posed serious law & order problems in Punjab, shall always be remembered because of his credible endeavours in bringing normalcy in Amritsar and other districts of Border Range. It was a readymade example community oriented policing which was largely appreciated by the community in general and also by the authorities at government level.   After six hours long negotiations, he successfully convinced the protestors to remove the blockade and open the Beas Bridge in the larger interest of humanity.  ............(21 October 2015)

Sikh bodies lift blockade on NH-1

The National Highway No. 1, which was blocked by Sikh protesters due to the ongoing protests against instances of desecration of Guru Granth Sahib and subsequent killing of two youths during the agitation at Kotkapura in Faridkot, was opened this evening.

The dharna organised between Rayya and Beas was lifted following hours long negotiations between the 11-member committee of Sikh activists belonging to various organisations and the DIG Border Range, Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, and other senior police officials.
