Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh is an MLA from Amritsar North. He is known for his straight forward and people-oriented views especially during discussions in Punjab Vidhan Sabha. He entered into political arena with a mission to bring "Total Political Revolution". He has adopted CCP as his way of politics which means Character, Credibility and Performance.
His political ideology is largely based on the concept of "Power to Empower" which he himself propagated during election campaigns and formally launched during PITEX international expo organised in Amritsar in 2022 December. People of Amritsar treat him like MLA of common citizens. Because of his down-to-earth approach, he is regarded as a family member.
He left his bright career as an IPS officer of Punjab Cadre. He had still nine years job in the IPS when he resigned as Inspector General of Police. He has handled many sensational and high-profile cases during his police tenure. He has been regarded as a no-nonsense officer, which has been liked and appreciated by the common people of Punjab. In Amritsar, people knew him as an officer of common masses because of his pro-people approach and strictness against criminal elements and mafia.
